Guided Bone and Tissue Regeneration

An effective way to treat some gum disease is guided bone regeneration,and guided tissue regeneration. These procedures are used to stabilize compromised teeth or to prepare the jaw for dental implants.

As periodontal disease gets worse, pockets develop in the jaw. These pockets can promote the growth of bacteria and the spread of infection. To address these pockets, we may recommend tissue regeneration. During this surgical procedure, the pockets are cleaned thoroughly.  An absorbable membrane may be placed to help restore lost tissues.
